LLOG BLOG #52: LINKS: THEY ARE THINGS THAT CONNECT THINGS: / by Matt Everett

Linx. Not what I’m talking about.

Welcome to another informative and challenging issue of the LLOG BLOG. Here at LOGMAN INDUSTRIES LTD LLC, we know that it is our mission to challenge your notions of Arts and Culture. So that’s what we do. Weekly.

Anyway, we noticed only too late that last week’s LLOG BLOG Issue published with a few prank hyper-links. (This was the doing of my brother and I’ve now changed all the passwords on the mainframe LMI computer system.) However, here at LMI, we like to stay positive. We turn pranks into THANKS!

So, this week, we are going to discover and uncover the ART in LINKS! (You don’t have to click on all of them. We don’t care because there’s plenty to look at right here.)

Eddie Van Halen. Rad.

Let’s get started by LINKING back to last week’s LLOG BLOG episode and let’s publish the results of the Burrito Pole. (Thanks to all of you readers that sent in your votes.)

ART: LMI POLE OF THE WEEK:

Pole Results. (Barb, can we get this neatly typed up next time?)

“Person Eating Burrito.” Digital Photo. Internet.

Wow! The results are kind of a shocker.

Next week’s pole: Who is the best artist? We want to hear from you, so if you want to participate, please send in you answer to info@logmanindustries.com and we will have the results posted next week!

Salvador Dali. Artist. Will he win? (probably not. too weird.)

ART: MERCHANDISING: LMI MUGS?

So Jim at the LMI Creative Marketing and Products Division in San Antonio, TX has been bugging LMI Corporate to do his LMI merch idea: Coffee mugs.

So I put it to you, the reader. Is this a good idea? Let’s take a look…

Okay, This one is kind of funny. Kind of lazy, though.

This one is pretty good! Might want to run this by our text layout dept, though.

Hmmm. This one is strangely specific. But I know exactly who Jim is aiming this at. He. he. wink. wink. (it’s Glen in accounting, right?)

I guess while your writing in about the best artist or whatever, go ahead and let us know about that one, too.

Okay, let’s shift gears and go to the next part.

ART: ART OUT IN THE WORLD THIS WEEK:

Boing. Art is in nature too. wait. or is it?

Xmas Skeleton. This one was actually sent in some months ago. Geeze. It’s really hard to keep up!

Interesting choice of colors and materials on this one.

Okay, that was really nice to see what’s out there. Now let’s look at what’s in here!

ART: PRODUCTION FROM THE LMI STUDIOS:

LMI Creative Division: Brussels has been working on “some retro cartoon reboots.” Let’s see what that’s all about:

Smurf. (I’m not sure we need to pull the curtain all the way back, Brussels. Let’s keep the notes on the other page next time.)

Very nice. Now let’s shift over to look at what’s going on in the LMI Creative Offices: Santa Cruz. Bobby only sent in a file with no explanation, so let’s pull that up and take a look:

Dancing Log Building with high-heeled shoes? Okay…?

Okay then.

Let’s see what LMICD: Portland has been up to this week.

“Person Jumping” Digital Photograph. 2026.

Seriously. Dang it, Portland. Every time. This has nothing to do with this week’s Special Edition Theme. This is just a picture of a guy jumping.

Wait, didn’t this just happen last week? OOOOOH. We should do an entire LLOG BLOG issue on Deja Vu!

Also, Portland, you are officially on notice.

(LMI Stamp you get when on notice at LMI.)

Let’s clean up this section with the latest from LMICD: Granby. PG has really been turning it up over there with his colored pencils and tight illustrations!

“Eat a Bug” Hand-Drawn illustration. P. Genouac, LMI 2026.

Alright, I think that is all of that for this week.

Let’s check in once again to the LMI: Weekly Movie Review:

ART: MOVIES:

I watched Bugonia this week.

“Bugonia.” Whoa.

Next, let’s go to the luckiest thing of the week:

ART: LUCKIEST THING OF THE WEEK:

Pants match the socks! LUCKY!

That’s all for this week.

Seriously, go out there and do something creative this week. It’s good for you.

And try… at least try… to be nice to people this week.

… And have a Loggy Week.* (You didn’t think we forgot, did you?)

*We are legally obligated to write this each week.
